Seven Katsina Medical Students Excel in Egypt

Katsina State has produced seven out of the ten best performing medical students of Nahda University in Cairo Egypt in the 2024 Academic session.
A document released by the university's Faculty of Education lists the names of Halima Muhammad Ingawa, Hafsat Hamisu Magami and Aisha Muhammad among its best performing students for the year.
Others are Jibril Hamza, Fiddausi Yahaya, Habibu Buhari and Alhassan Nasir.
In a social media post, the students said they will continue to strive for excellence to make Katsina State proud.
There are currently 41 Katsina State students studying medicine in Egypt.
The state government awarded the scholarship to the students last year as they were selected from each of the 34 local government areas of the state while Daura and Funtua produced two students each and Katsina nominated three students.
The scholarship programme is aimed at providing more qualified doctors that will be deployed to various health institutions across the State.
